Ripley is a town in the Amber Valley borough of Derbyshire. It has a population of 20,807 and a current average sale price of £154,746.
Ripley was granted a charter during the thirteenth-century. Landmarks in the town include Ripley Town Hall, which was constructed in 1880. All Saints' Church is Grade II listed and was built during the 1820s. Butterfly Hall is an eighteenth-century country house and is Grade II listed; it operates as the headquarters of the Derbyshire Constabulary. Butterfly Reservoir lies at the north of the town.
